Loss of Forging Furnace

The forging heating furnace is a non-standard induction heating equipment commonly used in the forging industry. It adopts the principle of medium frequency electromagnetic induction heating and is composed of an intermediate frequency power supply and an induction coil. Therefore, the editor of Haishan Electromechanical believes that most of the loss of the forging furnace is caused by the power supply, heating
Caused by the coil, it can be seen from the following points:
1. The power loss of the forging heating furnace, when the intermediate frequency power supply is changed from the power frequency to the intermediate frequency or high frequency, the thyristor, circuit board, rectifier board, inverter board, main control board, reactor, compensation capacitor, commutation inductance Other components will generate heat, which is ineffective and harmful. Cooling water is required to ensure the normal operation of components and components. Therefore, the lower these losses, the better.
2. The heating loss caused by the current flowing in the inductor of the forging heating furnace is taken away by the cooling water. This part of the loss is the main loss of the system, which is related to the structure of the inductor, the physical properties of the charge, and the heating frequency. This loss is often described by "electrical efficiency". Electrical efficiency is the ratio of the energy delivered to the heated workpiece to the energy the inductor receives from the power source.
3. Current transmission loss when the forging heating furnace is working: the loss caused by the cable and busbar that supplies power to the load heating coil from the variable frequency power supply. This part of the loss is often called line loss. The greater the line loss, the heat generated by the cable or copper bar. The larger the power loss, the greater the power loss, generally 2% to 7%.
4. The heat loss during the heating process of the forging heating furnace. During the heating process of the heated workpiece through the forging heating furnace, heat will be generated by itself, and it will also dissipate heat to the surroundings. The loss caused by this part of the heat dissipation is second only to the loss of the inductor. . This loss is often described as "thermal efficiency", which is the ratio of the net amount of heat that heats the workpiece to the total heat the workpiece receives from the induction coil.
5. When designing a forging heating furnace, generally please select the electric efficiency of the forging heating furnace as 62%, the thermal efficiency can reach 75%, the frequency conversion loss is 3%, and the transmission loss is 5%.
